BLACK HOSPITALITY INITIATIVE OF GREATER MIAMI ANNOUNCES THE ELECTION OF CAROLE ANN TAYLOR AS ITS NEW CHAIRPERSON   

 

The Black Hospitality Initiative of Greater Miami is pleased to announce the appointment of Carole Ann Taylor as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors, effective January 31, 2012. Ms. Taylor has been in the travel-retail and duty free business since the founding of her family business in 1987 and the opening of Bayside To Go, at Bayside Marketplace in downtown Miami. Ms. Taylor is the president and founder of Little Havana To Go, Miami Gifts to Go and Miami to Go. 

 

Carole Ann Taylor is very active in the community and serves on the Board of Directors of publicly traded Perfumania Holdings, the Executive Committee of the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau, Adrienne Arsht Center and the Black Hospitality Initiative of Greater Miami.  Prior to her retail career Ms. Taylor worked in Federal, State and local government with the U.S. Small Business Administration in Washington, D.C. Office of the Governor of New York State and the City of Miami's Mayor's office charged with the responsibility as a mediator/arbitrator in Conflict Resolution matters.

 

The Black Hospitality Initiative of Greater Miami Board of Directors recognized Past Chairperson George Cozonis, General Manager, W South Beach Hotel for his Outstanding Support and Leadership at the Tuesday, January 31st Board of Directors Meeting. He was presented an award of appreciation in thanks for his service.  Mr. Cozonis served as chairperson for the Black Hospitality Initiative 2009-2011.
